Who Should Acquire the CBPM®

CBPM® PRE-CERTIFICATION EVALUATION

There are no examinations for CBPM‌®. Registrants are required to make submissions of assignments and papers etc., which are evaluated by the Credential Award Committee. The following are required to be submitted online/offline to the Credential Award Committee by all CBPM‌® Registrants:

CERTIFICATION VALIDITY

Your CBPM‌® certification is valid exactly for five years from the date of award to ensure your qualifications remains current even amidst continuously changing and evolving BPO industry environment. The knowledge and skill requirements for the People Manager function also change and since the standards evolve in tandem, all CBPM‌® certified individuals are required to either recertify or upgrade to the next level which is CBPL‌®. 

UPGRADE TO CBPL‌®

You can upgrade to the leader level qualification - the CBPL‌® - three years after attaining your CBPM‌® Certification. A majority of CBPM‌® certificants globally choose to upgrade to CBPL‌® rather than recertify, because the CBPL‌® begins suiting such professionals more in their Careers as they move toward more senior roles in people management. An application for re-certification to BCI has to be made at least 8 weeks prior to the date of expiry of your CBPM‌® certification.

CBPM® ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Candidacy requirements define the parameters on the basis of which an applicant shall be evaluated fit for applying for a particular certification. Candidacy requirements will vary across certifications.

Educational Requirements

Applicants for CBPM‌® should have a decent exposure to computer-use and hold either or a combination of the following qualifications:

Professional/Work Requirements

  • Applicants who come from non-BPO backgrounds
  • Are required to have minimum SEVEN years of supervisory experience in the HR/people/personnel/workforce/manpower departments/functions in organizations across verticals (business/social sectors

  • Applicants who have a BPO or a call center background
  • The minimum prescribed work experience requirement is 5 years of which a minimum of three years should be in the supervisory roles in one or a combination of HR sub-functions in recognized BPO organizations, collection centers, call centers or customer support outfits.

  • For applicants who have the BCI CBTS®/CBMT® certification
  • the minimum prescribed work experience requirement is 5 years of which a minimum of 2 years after the CBTS‌® award should be in senior supervisory or team-lead roles in one or a combination of HR sub-functions in recognized BPO organizations, collection centers, call centers or customer support outfits.

Age

Ideally, an applicant should have completed minimum 23 years of age at the time of applying for CBPM‌®. There is no upper age bar, however for any certification program.
