Candidacy requirements define the parameters on the basis of which an applicant shall be evaluated fit for applying for a particular certification.
Applicants for CFPS® should have a decent exposure to computer-use and have at least completed 14 years of formal education at the time of applying for CFPS®, with minimum 1 year of coursework in accounting. Typically, most CFPS® applicants worldwide complete their A-Level/O-Level/Higher Secondary/12th grade before applying.
Professional / Work Requirements
Minimum of 6 months of work experience of handling typical or common accounts-related documentation; data processing, record keeping etc., in F&A BPO companies or other organizations.
- Applicants who come from non-BPO backgrounds
are required to have minimum 18 months of associate level experience in typical or common accounts-related documentation; data processing, record keeping etc., in the accounts departments of recognized organizations in banking, insurance, retailing, telecommunications, information technology, travel, hospitality, transportation and public utility services.
- For applicants who have a BPO or a call center background,
the minimum prescribed work experience requirement is six months of experience as agents; associates; representative or a similar position in recognized finance & accounting BPO organizations.
- For applicants who have the CFPA® certification,
The minimum prescribed work experience requirement is minimum 3 months as agents; associates; representative or in similar positions in recognized finance & accounting BPO organizations.
Ideally, an applicant should have completed 18 years of age at the time of applying for
CFPS®. There is no upper age bar for any certification program.
